Indiana Family Health Council

Wednesday, February 1st, 2012

Indiana Family Health Council selected Gracie Communications to brand its network of 40 clinics across Indiana and provide education about Title X family planning services that included counseling, prenatal care and child spacing education. The first thing we did was interview clinic staff across the state. We discovered the clinics were ready to “own” the term family planning, which is why we made it part of the clinic brand. As part of our work, Gracie developed a series of brochures, posters and tip cards (in English and Spanish); all tools that work well in health outreach. Working with a local print vendor, we created an online catalog of materials, allowing each clinic to order what they wanted, in the quantities they wanted – and with their own address and contact information. The clinics now are part of the larger brand, but still maintain their own autonomy.

CICOA

Thursday, April 15th, 2010

In early 2010, Gracie Communications teamed up with CMC Media Group to develop a video for CICOA Aging & In-Home Solutions, to introduce its Aging and Disability Resource Center (ADRC) to a group of current and potential donors at its first-annual Signature Breakfast.  Gracie wrote the script, and directed and co-produced the video along with CMC Media Group.

The result? CICOA raised more than $48,000 before 10 a.m.

Since that time, we have produced additional videos, including this one introducing donors to the oldest – and the youngest – CICOA client and their familes. Produced in partnership with 12Stars Media.

Indiana Artisan

Sunday, April 11th, 2010

Gracie Communications developed and led a marketing communications workshop designed specifically for the Indiana Artisan program.  More than 100 workshop participants traveled from across Indiana to learn how to better market their art, food product or arts organization. The workshop was limited to 20 so each participant could receive one-on-one communications consulting on audience development, messaging, marketing plans and various marketing and public relations tactics.

“This was one of the most productive four hours I’ve ever spent. The information was exceptionally helpful.”
 - Bob Ems, Madison, Ind. Main Street

“This was much more than I had hoped for and has inspired me and given me the tools to go farther with social media in promoting our various enterprises.”
- Dave Alm, Brookston, Ind.

Remington-Wolcott Community Development Commission

Wednesday, August 5th, 2009

Remington and Wolcott in northeastern Indiana are ideally situated between Chicago and Indianapolis, offering a small town oasis right along the bustling I-65. Despite a great location, honest and hard-working residents, and a commitment to community, the towns were in decline – like so many small towns across the Hoosier state. Element Three, an Indianapolis-based branding and marketing agency, wanted to help change all that. So they turned to Gracie Communications as a strategic communications and writing partner for the Small Town Oasis community development campaign. We met and interviewed residents, researched the town and developed web site content that reflected the towns’ special character and heritage. Next up – a case statement for fundraising.

Spotlight 2011 at Clowes Memorial Hall

Wednesday, July 8th, 2009

When the Indiana AIDS Fund asked Gracie Communications eight years ago to donate its services to market its annual fundraiser, Spotlight: One Night, One Stage, One Reason, we didn’t hesitate. Instead, we recruited other professionals from television, the arts, design and marketing to create and implement an annual plan to drive attendance and encourage philanthropy. Through a text-to-give campaign, direct communications, social media, grassroots outreach and a partnership with the local PBS affiliate, WFYI, the team’s efforts contributed to a record-setting $425,000 net raised for AIDS prevention and education across the state.

FitCity Indianapolis

Wednesday, July 8th, 2009

Gracie Communications has been part of the team behind a social marketing and strategic communications plan to reduce youth obesity in Indianapolis since 2001. Under the leadership of the Learning Well Inc. and The Health Foundation of Greater Indianapolis, Lisa Sirkin Vielee has served as interim program director, formed a steering committee, developed the business plan, and secured annual funding. Specific to communications efforts, Gracie Communications developed the FitCity Moms Blog , manages a social media campaign, and writes and edits e-newsletters, radio reader copy, and direct mail pieces. In addition, our team managed a multi-year advertising buy, consulted with various community groups to develop adolescent-focused health programming, and developed the new and improved FitCityIndy.org web site and subsequent content, including an updatable events listing. In other words, we’ve made reducing youth obesity in central Indiana our passion.
