Hey, thanks!

This year, I’m thankful for…

Clients who stayed true to their plans.
Clients who tried something new.
Clients who used the recession as a time to plan for the future.
Prospects who took the time to learn what communications really is.
Artists across the state who wanted to learn more about marketing.
Executive Directors who tried blogging for the first time and had fun with it.

I’m also thankful for…

Colleagues who operate with a theory of abundance.
Professionals who approached their work with an abundance of curiosity.
Volunteers who shared their stories.
Journalists who lent their talent.
Freelancers who weren’t afraid to think like a big agency.
Partners that promoted good work, even if there wasn’t anything in it for them.

I’m thankful for…

Friends who gave to causes I love.
Friends who introduced me to new causes.
Grassroots teams who made it fun to volunteer.
Every single walk or run that I was able to finish.
Nonprofits that lost 25% or more of their endowment but didn’t stop funding good programs in the community.

I’m thankful for…

Mommy Bloggers.  Blog Indiana.
Smaller Indiana.  Linking Indiana.
Indiana Insider.  Indiana’s General Assembly.
The Big Swim team.
SoloPR.  PR Daily.
WordPress.  My RSS feed.
My smart phone.  And my e-mail.

I’m definitely thankful for…

My understanding family who lets me work all weekend.
Who daydream with me about projects to come.
Who cleaned up my house after the fire.
And forced me to take vacations.

This post is part of a larger movement called Tweetsgiving 2009. You can share what you are thankful for as part of Tweetsgiving 2009, created by the US nonprofit Epic Change #tweetsgiving (#indytweetsgiving)   There are two simple ways to participate. You can share what you are thankful for on Twitter with the twitter tag #tweetsgiving.  The second way to participate is to donate online now through Nov. 26. Part of the money raised will create a dormitory/orphanage, library, school, cafeteria and additional classrooms are needed in partnership with Kamptoni in Tanzania.  The other portion will go towards funded future change makers and social entrepreneurs in less fortunate conditions. That is something to really be thankful for.
